A warrant for the arrest of Mos Def has been issued. A Las Vegas arrest warrant is out for Mos Def concerning Volker Corell events. Volker Corell claims Mos Def at MAGIC acted improperly.

Here is the latest.

Las Vegas police have issued an arrest warrant for Mos Def, real name Dante Terrell Smith, for an alleged attack of official photographer Corell at MAGIC in August.

The reported charges – felony robbery and malicious destruction of private property. The alleged actions is ripping Corell’s camera off his neck, smashing it, and then taking off with it.

No comment by Mos Def.

Tracy Morgan hosts Laffapalooza this year in Las Vegas. Laffapalooza features Tracy Morgan as it Las Vegas host November 22. Laffapalooza comedians include Mark Curry, Sheryl Underwood, Earthquake, Corey Holcomb and Lavell Crawford.

Laffapalooza will aire on TBS Sunday, November 30 at 11 PM/ET, part of the “TBS Presents a ‘Very Funny’ Festival: The Comedy Festival.”

The festival is at Caesars and includes performances by Katt Williams, Mike Epps, Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen DeGeneres.

TBS will also aire “Ellen’s Even Bigger Really Big Show”, Ellen DeGeneres live in Las Vegas that weekend.

Laffapalooza is produced by Jamie Foxx and Marcus King, among others.

Donny and Marie Osmond’s Las Vegas Show has been renewed til 2010! Donny and Marie Osmond’s Las Vegas has tickets selling fast at the Flamingo.

VEGASLATE loves Donny and Marie, and of course also the Flamingo. And apparently so do fans. Just after taking over for Toni Braxton, the Osmonds have renewed their multi-month contract to a multi-year deal, bringing them all the way into 2010.

Flamingo President Don Marrandino says Donny and Marie’s 90-minute greatest-hits multimedia show is a huge hit for the casino, after opening just on September 9. Now the Flamingo will be their home til October 2010.

Las Vegas Sands stock plummets!

Las Vegas Sands stocks has fallen 29% today on worries about Sands capital under Sheldon Adelson.

Adelson’s family has put into Sands reportedly “$475 million … to strengthen its capital this month and help prevent it from tripping a U.S. loan covenant.”

Tripping? That’s not good news.

But Sands stocks have lost 94% of their value this year!

The Sands owns the Venetian and Palazzo in Las Vegas and are building a $12 billion complex in Macau, China, $4 billion Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and $800 million Sands Bethworks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Analysts interviewed by Bloomberg are not impressed.

The stock has shown what the market thinks. Sands is now at a mere $6.63 today. That leaves Wynn Resorts the biggest followed by MGM Mirage.

Adelson reportedly has suggested he may step down.

LALATE first broke details of Michael Phelps hosting Sunday’s broadcast of the Video Music Awards live from Los Angeles. But before Britney and Co., Phelps entertained himself in Las Vegas.

The Radar story about Phelps at the Palms has an interesting description of Phelps’ entourage. It claims that one fellow in his group of “striped-shirted” guys was fond of a flashlight.

The story claims one of them was an “aggressive grip” who had the job of using a flashlight on anyone trying to photograph Michael Phelps.
